What is a "Yellow Belt":Lean and Six Sigma Yellow Belts (YBs) are trained and certified individuals who maintain a general knowledge of LSS and can help identify processes within their organization that need improvement. In addition, they serve as team members on Green Belt and Black Belt projects. Yellow Belts may be ideal candidates to become Green Belts and Black Belts and are a potential source of project ideas. Should I Choose the "Yellow Belt" Certification or one of the Other Certifications? If you are in a company that is implementing Lean and Six Sigma, and you want to only become familiar with the methodologies that your company is implementing, I would choose the lean and six sigma white belt online training. If you are only going to be an active team member in a Lean and Six Sigma process improvement project, I would choose the Lean and Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification . If you are going to be the Change Agent (the one improving the process) I would start with the lean and six sigma green belt online training or the lean and six sigma black belt training . If you are looking to enhance your resume or marketability within your company, I would choose the lean and six green belt online training or the lean and six sigma black belt training . Black Belts generally have a higher salary, but a certification does not "a black belt make" ... I tell our clients that a true black belt has experience and most companies will be able to weed out the "paper black belts" (a black belt with no experience). I also tell our clients that if you get through the door with a "paper black belt", the proof will be show in your ability to effectively capatilize on opportunities. A black belt should have at a minimum four projects under their belts to be considered "experienced". Lean + Six Sigma Yellow Belt Course Description:Course Details:
